LEARN TO SAIL

SAILING:
Sunsail’s instructors are certified by the Royal Yachting Association, the U.K. equivalent to the American Sailing Association. Free clinics throughout the week include the basics of learning to sail, as well as sailing techniques such as asymmetrics, catamaran sailing, trapezing, single-handed sailing, and windsurfing waterstarts. More comprehensive sailing courses, which are open to ages 15 and over, are available for added cost. Private yachts are also available.

Other watersports: Windsurfing, scuba (PADI certifications offered), kayaks, reef boats, tubing, and snorkeling equipment

Kids programs: Minnows (4 months to 2 years) are watched over by qualified nannies for $210 per week. Free kids’ programs for ages 2 to 16 years include swimming, land activities like treasure hunts, snorkeling, windsurfing, and sailing.

Rates:
Club Colonna offers a variety of accommodations, from standard hotel rooms to apartments and multi-bedroom private villas. Cost varies seasonally from $95-$175 per person, per night. Children are $50-$80. For more information, call (800) 327-2276 or log on to www.sunsail.com.
