"I’m just back from climbing 22,800-foot
Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina, and recommend using Jackson Hole-based aventuras patagonicas [888-203-9354, www.patagonicas.com] as a guide. They specialize in Andes trips and follow a route not used by many other climbers. That made the trip much more solitary and wild, since there can be 100 people or more on the normal route up the mountain. "
