Nicole Dorsey POSTURE PERFECTORDo you spend too much time hunched over a laptop or dragging rollaway bags through airports? Good posture is an outward expression of confidence, not to mention beneficial to your body. To strengthen your upper back and rear-shoulder muscles, do the following body toner. Grab a set of 3- to 5-pound weights and lie prone (abs down) with your feet hooked under a sofa or counter, grasping a weight in each hand. Bring your arms out parallel to your chest and slowly lift the weights off the floor (three inches or so), squeezing your shoulder blades back. Hold briefly. Do three sets of 10 repetitions twice a week to improve body alignment and posture. Shrug your shoulders to release the tension when you’re done.
