For decades, the American public believed that Buick was one of the preferred vehicles of doctors and the like. Now the company is going after the young family demographic with its first SUV, the 2002 Rendezvous ($25,624 to $31,627 plus options). The 185-horsepower, V-6 engine has a much softer feel than most truck-based SUVs, but it’s an admirable entrée into the market for this automaker.
