1. Understand the risks. Spirits aren’t always friendly.
2. Buy an inexpensive digital recorder; it will pick up more white noise.
3. Ask questions and pause afterward for a response. About five to 10 questions should be enough.
4. Get a good pair of headphones, and use them to amplify the sound of the recording. If you hear voices that you couldn’t while there, you’ve got yourself a ghost.
