A New Kind Of Direct Tv

making program you love.
If recent trends continue, more than 130 million Americans — three out of four people who have an Internet connection — will watch a video this month without using a TV. In fact, according to the market research firm ComScore, the average Internet user in the United States will watch almost three hours of digital video this month alone. Across the globe, avid Internet users are turning off the boob tube in favor of watching commercial-free, shorter programs and movies on mobile phones and computer screens. Television, it seems, may already be taking a backseat to those.
That’s why On Networks, an Austin-based new-media company, has spent so much time developing a catalog of professionally produced short videos aimed at savvy consumers. The hip high-res programs speak to the latest trends, from cooking to fashion to football. Best of all, the shows are free to download through iTunes and on demand from www.onnetworks
.com, and you can watch them anytime, anywhere, and on any screen, from a 65-inch plasma TV to a 21-inch monitor to a pocket-size iPhone.
