Luxury in Charm City
by Lisa MarshKnown for its blue crabs, sports teams and historic harbor,
Baltimore will soon be thought of as a luxury destination, too, if the
Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore has any say. The newly opened 256-room hotel on the waterfront in the Harbor East district is minutes from the best that Charm City has to offer, including world-class shopping, the Johns Hopkins medical complex and sports arenas. The hotel also has five restaurants (Wit and Wisdom, a Tavern by
Michael Mina among them), which will, of course, surely offer up a contender for Maryland’s best crab cake. With a 10,000-square-foot spa that includes several suites with private soaking tubs, a year-round heated pool with an infinity edge that spills into the harbor and views of the water from almost every room, leaving the hotel could prove challenging.
