Berlin
Heidi Klum's Germany
by
Mark Seal"When the
Berlin Wall came down, we drove there and helped pick the
wall apart. People were on the wall hammering pieces, and I was
right there, taking pieces. It was 1989, four days after the wall
came down. My mom and dad and I drove to Berlin and everybody was
so excited. No one really knew what that meant for the country yet.
A lot of negative things happened after that, and a lot of good
things, too. I just remember being very excited. Everyone was
picking at the wall. Everyone wanted to have a piece of that
history. I have a picture of me standing on top of the wall, with
my hammer in my hand. It was being part of history. I was
there."
