Get face to face with a shark — with a safe chunk of glass between you — at the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s new “Vanishing Wildlife” exhibit, open-ing May 19. Its 25-by-10-foot window shows a one million gallon tank swimming with giant tuna, lumbering sea turtles, and other creatures, and provides you-are-the-fish perspectives on threatened species.
