Last month marked the 20th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, which is as much a pilgrimage site, attracting 3.7 million each year, as it is a shrine to more than 58,000 who lost their lives in the war. Through more than 70 inspiring stories and 172 photos past and present, Edwards chronicles the emotion and experiences of the men, women, and children who lived through and with the war, both at home and on the battlefield.
