SILENCE IS GOLDEN
The Film May Be Quiet, But This Movie House Rocks

What’s more retro than a silent movie? Vaudeville? True, but not hip enough. Whereas the flicks scene at the one-of-a-kind Silent Movie Theatre in Hollywood is oh-so-trendy. Gen-Xers and Boomers join cinéastes of all ages in this 1942-vintage revival house that screens fare from the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Clara Bow, and Buster Keaton (pictured). An old-fashioned organ and piano amplify the action on the screen. Catch it all Thursdays through Sundays at 8 p.m. for only $9, and watch for a traveling tour heading to a city near you this fall.
