CATCHING UP WITH CHI CHI
< br/>Hall of Fame golfer Juan Antonio (Chi Chi) Rodriguez has had an amazing career. The man from Puerto Rico has been all over the world in his travels since turning pro in 1960 and signing up with the PGA in 1985. Now on the Senior PGA Tour, he continues with his winning attitude and offers support for inner-city kids at risk for dropping out of school with his Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation in Clearwater, Florida. We caught up with the busy pro on the practice green after a round for a rapid-fire question and answer.

AW: What’s your favorite PGA Tour moment?
CR:
When I saw Jack Nicklaus hug his son after he won the Masters [in 1986 when Jackie was caddying for his dad].

AW: Do you have a favorite destination or course to play?
CR:
Every place.

AW: What do you do to unwind after an event?
CR:
I fly in an airplane.

AW: Who is your favorite golfer, besides yourself, of course?
CR:
I’d have to say Arnold Palmer. — J.E.M.
