Ride It

GET LOOPED
Some Things in Life are Free, Like Tours on Chicago's L Train

Next time you’re in Chicago, tour the city’s historic Loop on an elevated train. The Chicago Transit Authority offers 40-minute guided rides on the grand old “L” as it circles the 100-year-old downtown district. You’ll get a unique view of the Chicago skyline, and a heightened understanding of the city’s splendid architecture. Tours leave the Randolph and Wabash station every Saturday through September 29 at 11:35 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 12:55 p.m., and 1:35 p.m. Tickets are free, but must be obtained in advance at the Chicago Office of Tourism.
