Star Grazing
by
John MarianiYou practically fall over Hollywood stars in Los Angeles
restaurants, and one of the current hot eateries -
Breeze
(pictured) - is located, appropriately, on the Avenue of the Stars
in Century City. The sleek, sunny dining room, set within the
Century Plaza Hotel & Spa where many stars stay, is ideal for
an agent-studio exec lunch (the movie studios are nearby); and its
recent clientele is definitely A-list, with everyone from Eddie
Murphy and Rene Russo to
Jackie Chan and
David Duchovny. Chef
Andreas Nieto turns out superb SoCal cuisine like white corn soup
with apple fritters and bluefin tuna tartare with avocado. One of
the best places to spot celebs these days is
Mr. Chow in
Beverly Hills. Opened in the '80s, it has taken on a new chic as a
hip-hop star hangout, with rappers like Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs and
Babyface gobbling up the Chinese noodles, squab with lettuce, and
Peking duck. Also in attendance on any given night might be Jim
Carrey,
Robert De Niro,
George Clooney, and Kirsten Dunst.
