Club Greg Laswell Fall Headline Tour | Take a Bow | Sara Bareilles | Turf Club

By now, you’ve surely heard of Greg Laswell. He recently released his third album, the critically acclaimed Take a Bow. His music’s been featured on countless TV shows (including nine — yes, NINE — episodes of Grey’s Anatomy). And if that doesn’t ring a bell, he’s even been featured in our very own magazine.
This weekend, I caught Greg, who’s currently on tour opening for Sara Bareilles, in concert. He wooed the packed house with his full-bodied baritone and melancholic love songs (“Take Everything” and “How the Day Sounds” were highlights), and his funny musings between songs only upped the charm factor. If you’re able to catch Greg on the remainder of his supporting leg, or later this fall on his own headlining tour (dates posted after the jump), you absolutely should — and hope he regales you with the story of the MySpace “fan” who derided him about his remake of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”
