Manhattan-rooted Trina has expanded south to Fort Lauderdale. The new Mediterranean hot spot overlooking the beach from The Atlantic hotel is owned by New Yorkers Don Pintabona (veteran chef of the trendy Tribeca Grill) and Nick Mautone (who managed and co-owned Gramercy Tavern). Together they merge talents — Pintabona’s in seafood, Mautone’s in wine — within a high-style space, giving some Big Apple pep to South Florida’s dining. (954) 567-8070
