Don Triggs | VIDAL ICEWINE | Washington border | entrepreneur
The Big Chill
by
Anthony Dias BlueJackson-Triggs, located just north of the Washington border, is a project of entrepreneur Don Triggs. Triggs is CEO of Vincor, which also owns several other Canadian wineries, including Inniskillin. Jackson-Triggs is known for varietals such as Merlot, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc, but like many other wineries in
Canada, also makes a specialty icewine. With its gorgeous, ripe flavors of white fruit and its current of tangy acidity, the Jackson-Triggs 1998 Grand Reserve is a classic expression of icewine.
A note: Icewines are rare and may be difficult to find, but they’re worth the search. No mistake about it.
