Chicago debuts an outdoor concert theater and pedestrian bridge by über-architect
Frank Gehry in Millennium Park, a 24-acre appendage to downtown’s Grant Park. The serpentine, titanium-clad bridge leads to the 12-story stage framed in curling ribbons of
steel. The park
includes a crown fountain incorporating video images, sculptures, gardens, and a 300-seat cafe with patio views of Gehry’s work.
