Dublin | Vico Road | Phoenix Park | Irish Sea | Europe
Colin Farrell's Dublin
by
Mark Seal"Sunday morning, if you've had a good night at Lillies or Renard's,
you can go to Elephant & Castle, which is where I used to wait
tables. It's a lovely restaurant for a bit of brunch. They do great
eggs Benedict, great chicken wings."
OUTDOORS
"St. Stephens Green is a must-see. It's a square park, with
beautiful gardens, flowers, and a water fountain. On weekends, if
the weather's good, there are people lying in the grass everywhere.
You can go in and feed the ducks in the little lake there. Then
there's Phoenix Park, the second biggest park in Europe."
EXCURSION
"There's a village called Dalkey in County
Dublin, about a
25-minute drive from the city. I'm not joking, it's like postcard
Ireland: a small village with a church that looks like a castle in
the middle of it. There's a place there called In, which does great
food, and a lovely pub called McDonagh's. Only a few minutes drive
from Dalkey is Vico Road, which is where the Irish celebrities
live. Bono has a place up there. From Vico Road, you get the most
amazing view out to the Irish Sea."
