It’s been awhile since we’ve featured a ski destination in Celebrated Weekend, so I’m as excited about this issue’s cover spot as I am about the celebrity. With perfect timing for the ski season, country singer
Lyle Lovett offers his insider’s tour of several
Colorado resort areas in
Celbrated Weekend. In it, he tells you where he likes to hit the slopes and hit the town in Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Vail, and
Beaver Creek. (He also tells you what makes him nervous … .)
I must admit, I’m a big fan of Lovett’s, and think his music, which ranges from rowdy and festive to intelligent and introspective, suits many moods. (He’s a fellow Aggie and Texan, so I may be just a bit biased.) He’s currently touring to promote his
new album, so if you have a chance to catch a show, don’t miss it.
There’s more good stuff in this issue: Elsewhere in our Travel section, we head to
Chile for an action-packed vacation in Pucón, 400 miles south of
Santiago. The story’s sold me; I’m ready to check out the area’s volcanoes, national parks, hot springs, waterfalls, and skiing — all within 22 miles of town. We also take a
tour of London, albeit a slower-paced walking one, exploring the city by way of its 200-plus trails.
In our Lifestyle section, you’ll find out if — and why — you may need a
personal clothing consultant . And in Business, we talk to
Accenture CEO Joe Forehand about his thoughts on management and leadership.
