Eileen Foltz | London hotel | I will always love you | Toronto
Tales From The Road
by
Jill Becker"I was traveling from
Toronto to
Miami when a man I thought looked
familiar sat across the aisle in front of me. I thought for a good
hour where I knew him from, until I looked over at his laptop and
noticed his name. It was my ex-husband, whom I married in college
and hadn't seen in 20 years. It was at that moment I realized the
world just wasn't big enough."

A SLICE OF HEAVEN
"My wife and I both travel for business, usually to different parts
of the country. One week I finished my assignment early and made
arrangements to travel to St. Louis, where my wife was on
assignment. Upon my arrival, I ordered a pizza and had it delivered
to my wife's hotel room, where she was visiting with fellow
employees. When my wife opened the pizza box, she found the
following message: 'IWALY.' Everyone was puzzled except my wife,
who knows that my secret message means, 'I will always love you.'
The group insisted my wife call me to thank me for the pizza. Just
as she was telling me that she would give me a big hug if I were
there, I knocked on the door."

KING FOR A DAY
"I was once mistaken for royalty when I checked into a London
hotel. Upon presenting my passport, I was escorted to a VIP area,
where the manager came and personally greeted me as Your Serene
Highness. This treatment went on for the entire four days I stayed
at the hotel and extended to simple requests being wonderfully
upgraded, such as a taxi turning into a chauffeured Bentley."
