Elliott Hotel | Seattle | Elliott Bay | Elliott Grand Hyatt

SLEEPING IN SEATTLE
The state-of-the-art Elliott Hotel is a hit

With the Elliott Grand Hyatt, Seattle gets a new hotel in Bill Gates mode: hyper-wired for business, but with a taste for life’s finer things. Tech geeks gotta love these specs: in-room computers, round-the-clock support staff, and Internet connection boosters 10 to 100 times faster than other luxury hotels. But when it’s time to power down, there’s the handsome stone-and-wood interior to appreciate and an art collection to ogle (check out the Willem de Kooning bronze at the entrance). And there’s the Northwest cuisine from much-lauded chef Danielle Custer. Views from the high-rise’s 425 rooms take in Elliott Bay (the hotel namesake), as well as the more distant Cascade and Olympic Mountains. Rooms from $340. (206) 262-0700, www.elliotthotel.com -
