Matthew Mcconaughey's Austin

DINNER
"Matt's El Rancho is pretty authentic Mexican food and a big family atmosphere. They're not afraid to spice it up and give you a little fire. If you want good Tex-Mex, Chuy's over on Barton Springs is a lively, kind of eclectic Austin spot. And their portions are huge. There's a string of good restaurants on Barton Springs, like Shady Grove. I love to eat outside if I can. What I like about Shady Grove is that the outside porch is sort of connected to the parking lot, which makes it seem like it's connected to a trailer park."

MUSIC
"Stubb's Bar-B-Q is a great place to get a group together to hear some music. I'm not going to say it's the best barbecue in town, but it's a good place to see live music."

MIDNIGHT SNACK
"The best pizza I've ever had is Domenick's on Sixth Street. Oh, it's so good, and it stays open late. It's a hole in the wall with one little bar on the left where they're back there cooking it. It's got about four stools, a shaker of garlic, oregano, red pepper, and Parmesan. Gimme a slice of hamburger and pepperoni at 2 a.m."

SUNDAY

LUNCH "I love Sonic. For a few reasons. One, I get the double jalapeño with cheese. They melt the cheese with the top bun; that's one of their secrets. The other thing I like is driving in. I get to control my climate, play my own music, and when I'm through eating, I don't have to wait for the bill. Get yourself a double jalapeño burger. That's my first meal of the day, man."
