Beyoncé Knowles' Houston

Everywhere I go around the world people ask where I get my jewelry, because it's so original, and it's from The Turquoise Lady. Destiny's Child has a good relationship with the Versace, Gucci, and MAC stores in Houston. But Hymie's Fur & Leather makes Destiny's Child's customized leather and furs; that's what he specializes in. My mom designs clothes, but he sews them for us. It's a good place if you have a formal occasion and you want to get something really fabulous made, or if you want to buy a nice fur or have a leather coat made, just anything customized. Hymie's really good."

EXERCISE
"We ran in Memorial Park every morning before we got our record deal. We would sing while we jogged to try to be in shape. I think it's like a four-mile trail. We would run, and we would hate it because it was so hot and we'd be running and jogging and singing and trying not to stop, but four miles is a long time to run. It makes it easier because there are so many different things you can look at while you're running."

LUNCH
"The best thing in Houston that you can't get anywhere else is Frenchy's fried chicken. Frenchy's has the best chicken. The seasoning is unlike any other; it's very spicy. It tastes like home-cooked. I love their French fries, too. They have all kinds of great desserts. The pound cake is excellent. It's not anything really fancy, but it feels really down-home. Goode Company has really great barbecue. It looks kind of like a cabin; it's very Western. They have turkey sausage, which a lot of places don't have. I get the turkey-sausage sandwich, and they have the best jalapeno-cheese bread and the best baked potatoes."
