FATIGUED PEOPLE can feel better with a few common-sense cures, says Dr.
Jacob Teitelbaum, author of From
Fatigued to Fantastic! (The Putnam Publishing Group) and a former sufferer of chronic
fatigue syndrome.
He calls it the Big 3 for Vitality 101 — proper nutrition, exercise, and sleep. Here’s his advice in a nutshell:
Nutrition. Drink plenty of water (not juice, soda, or alcohol). Take a quality vitamin like Daily Energy Enfusion by Enzymatic Therapy (which Teitelbaum helped engineer, but he receives no money from sales).
Exercise. Get off your duff for at least 30 minutes a day, even if it’s just a walk at the airport or at your destination.
Sleep. Eight to nine hours, no exceptions.
What if you’re still pooped? You may be more than just tired, Teitelbaum says. Chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia often go undiagnosed. Take a week’s vacation, he suggests, and if you feel better when you get home, don’t worry. But if you still feel fatigued, achy, brain-fogged, and have
insomnia, talk to your doctor.
