Richard Melville Hall (using his stage name) recorded the majority of this double album in his Manhattan apartment. It was the first time he left vocal samples off his recordings. Featured tracks: a cover of New Order’s “Temptation,” “Beautiful,” “Spiders,” and “Lift Me Up.”

This song, from the supposed oncemarried Detroit duo, was the first single off the garage rockers’ third album, White Blood Cells. Some of the single version of the song was recorded at the actual namesake hotel.
