The Gamer's PC
by Chris Opfer
Attention gamers: Wipe the Cheetos crumbs off your face and open the shades on the windows of your house. A mighty storm is coming — one that can help you conquer Deathwing in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and outmaneuver the KGB in Call of Duty: Black Ops, all without plundering your bank account.
The new ODE gaming PC from Digital Storm
offers hard-core gamers prepackaged, optimized technology at a relatively
affordable price. Best known for custom-made gaming equipment, Digital Storm dips its toe into the assembly line with four versions of ODE, a fully loaded gaming PC that users can plug in and use without having to select (and pay for) each individual component.
The four models range from Level I ($1,500) to Level IV ($2,500) and feature what Digital Storm calls an “arsenal of bleeding-edge hardware,” including a 3.4 GHz Intel i7 2600k processor, 1 TB of storage, a Nvidia GTX graphics card and 8 GB of Corsair’s XMS3 Series memory.
