DISASTER THREE: Blanking Out
Speaking to an audience of broadcast executives, communications consultant Lilyan Wilder suddenly lost her train of thought. She walked back to her notes at the lectern, found her place, and carried on. She says it gave the audience time to absorb her message. If you pause for a few moments to collect your thoughts or consult your notes, people may not even realize you’re stalling.
