br/>Tennessee already has the Titans. But now Nashville welcomes two new giants — in the art and music world. First,
The Frist Center for the Visual Arts (615- 244-3340,
www.fristcenter.org) puts Nashville on the museum map with more than 20,000 square feet of gallery space — ideal for showcasing world-class works such as those in the current exhibition, “An Enduring Legacy: Art of the
Americas from Nashville Collections,” devoted to Gordon Parks,
Diego Rivera, and Georgia O’Keeffe, through March 2002. Next, the renowned
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (615- 416-2001,
www.countrymusichalloffame.com) has moved to a new $37 million location (above) along the banks of the Cumberland River, just a few steps from historic Ryman Auditorium. —
