Anyone with a daughter interested in taking up the jolly sport of golf should participate in the National Golf Course Owners Association’s (NGCOA) third annual Take Your Daughter to the Course Week, July 8-14. A part of the NGCOA’s Get Linked Play Golf program, it’s a great way to introduce little Sally to the links, with activities ranging from clinics to tournaments to fashion shows — after all, dressing the part of a pro is just as important as playing like one.

More than 350 courses and 8,000 junior girls took part in last year’s program. Who knows? If you get Sally swinging, you might have the next Se Ri Pak or Annika Sörenstam on your hands.
