Another great film to rent or buy is the sleeper hit My Big Fat Greek Weeding, which was brought from stage to screen by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. The story is based on Nia Vardalos’ autobiographical tale of a woman trying to find love while dealing with her crazy Greek family. Starring Nia Vardalos as herself (thanks to Wilson, who insisted that the role could only be played by Vardalos), the film is one that almost anyone with a big, rambunctious family can relate to.
