Old Whiskey River | STRAIGHT RYE | Kentucky | SINGLE BARREL
Bluegrass Breakdown
by
Anthony Dias BlueOld Whiskey River is crafted at Heaven Hill Distilleries by Parker and Craig Beam, the seventh and eighth generations of the well-known family of master distillers that have kept
Kentucky bourbon flowing at various distilleries since 1795. In keeping with the guidelines of the Farm Aid organization, which Willie Nelson co-founded, all the corn, barley, and rye on the Old Whiskey River mash bill are grown on family farms within 100 miles of the distillery. The round, mellow taste makes for a perfect Wet Willie: a single shot of Old Whiskey River with a lager beer chaser.
