Monkey Business

Updated for the new century is Tim Burton’s (Batman) adaptation of Planet of the Apes. Mark Wahlberg stars as a pilot who crash-lands on a planet where the primates are in charge and humans are slaves. The film also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Michael Clarke Duncan. Look for a cameo from Charlton Heston (the loincloth-clad hero of the original Planet of the Apes. Between Burton’s off-kilter vision and Oscar-winner Rick Baker’s (Men in Black) special effects makeup, this flick is set to be among the top summer escapes.

Billy Crystal co-wrote and stars as a veteran publicist in American's Sweethearts, a comedy about an A-list couple (John Cusack and Catherine Zeta-Jones) who’ve recently and publicly split, but who must promote their latest movie together. Julia Roberts lends further star power to this sure summer blockbuster.
