There are those who dislike the beach because they consider the whole beach thing indolent. The indolence is the only thing I do like about it. But I prefer my indolence indoors, preferably on a bar stool where the sunlight is limited to the brief moments when someone opens the door and the heat is felt only by the pool player down two balls in a game of eight ball.

But it’s summer. Just as in winter you wear longjohns, in summer you go to the beach.
