THE TRUTH ABOUT CHARLIE is an edge-of-your-seat ride through the life of Regina Lambert, played by Mission Impossible 2’s Thandie Newton. Regina, who is trying to come to terms with the ending of her marriage, is vacationing in Martinique, where she meets the seductive Joshua (Mark Wahlberg). When she returns home to Paris, she discovers that her husband has been murdered and her apartment and bank accounts have been stripped. Director Jonathan Demme’s (Philadelphia) update of the classic 1963 film Charade will have viewers buzzing.

For something a bit lighter, check out THE SANTA CLAUSE 2, opening early next month. Santa (Tim Allen) must find a wife by Christmas Eve or relinquish his title (the “Mrs. Clause” in his contract). Although it relies a bit too much on slapstick humor, it’s worth watching, if only to see Allen don the Santa suit once again.
