San Diego Wild Animal Park

Experience It

by Josh Sens

OUT OF AFRICA
For a Roaring Good Time, Try an Overnight with California's Wild Animals.

Every kid dreams of sleeping where the wild things are. Now yours can actually do it. On Fridays and Saturdays (and some Sundays), the San Diego Wild Animal Park unleashes Roar and Snore sleepovers: one-night, tent-camping adventures on a plateau overlooking the park’s East African habitat. Families enjoy guided tours of the park by day, then fall asleep to grumbles, growls, and other sounds more exotic than Dad’s strangest snore. Adults $115, children $95 (must be 8 or older).
