Heard At The Office
by
American Way StaffPOWER FLOWERSCost-conscious companies are still sending
flowers for births or accidents or illness, and they’re still decorating their offices. “It’s just that instead of $200, they’ll spend $150,” says
Saundra Parks, owner of the Daily Blossom, a leading corporate florist in New York.
How to scale back the cost without scaling back the impression? Parks says companies are sending monochromatic, simple flower arrangements or long-lasting live plants. Trendsetters go for chartreuse or lime-green flowers in all-green arrangements. But when in doubt, she says, stick to all-white: “It’s clean, simple, nonintrusive, and gives an upscale impression.”
