Sometimes I Dream | Sony | Salonica | Greece

Mario Frangoulis

by American Way Staff

Sometimes I Dream (Sony Classical)

There’s a new operatic tenor making waves across the Atlantic and the comparisons to Pavarotti seem obvious. He may be handsome, but on his American debut disc, the 25-year-old Greek heartthrob proves he’s not just all looks. His pipes soar on Puccini’s “Sometimes I Dream” and his versatility shines as he sings in four different languages (English, Greek, Spanish, and Italian) throughout the 12 songs. Look for the PBS live special airing in December featuring Frangoulis in Salonica, Greece.
