here's where we like to hang when we're in chicago.
lodging
city suites hotel, moderate, (773) 404-3400. this 45-room spot
in a mostly residential neighborhood is close to public
transportation (if noise from the el is a concern, request a room
on the east side) and, for cubs fans, wrigley field (you can walk
to and from games). we skip their free breakfast, though, and head
next door for ann sather's out-of-this-world cinnamon rolls.
the seneca, moderate, (312) 787-8900. the 80-year-old
seneca, with its elegant, european-style touches, is conveniently
located for both biz travelers and tourists. after a long day,
relax on the rooftop sundeck or enjoy a treatment at the in-house
spa.
