The Shore Club are two new hotels with “style” written all over them. No surprise the same company, Philips Hotel Group, authored the pair, and the same hot British architect, David Chipperfield, inked their plans.
In Bryant Park, Chipperfield transformed the 1924 American Radiator Building into a sleek 129-room urban hotel, maintaining the historic deco facade but largely gutting the interior to accommodate an open, contemporary floor plan. Tibetan rugs and Egyptian cottons soften sparsely decorated guestrooms, but the vaulted Cellar Bar indulges in vintage club-style romance. From $425. (212) 642-2200,

Miami, the architect erected a new 21-story tower between two adjoining art-deco buildings to comprise The
Shore Club. Rooms feature earthy wood and stone accents. Rivaling the architecture, The Shore Club’s A-list tenants include the highly acclaimed Nobu restaurant and Sundãri spa from supermodel Christy Turlington. From $525. (305) 695-3100,
