Ale House. It's very much a pub, so that's a place to go when
you want to have a drink with your buddies. Also Jungle Jim's,
which is in Lake Buena Vista. It's a great bar and restaurant I've
been going to ever since I worked at Disney. They have family
dining, a really festive atmosphere. Little monkeys and animals
that you can put in the drinks. It's got a safari theme. And the
service is great. There's also Steak-N-Shake, which is a very
Southern thing. It's a burger joint, but there's just something
about the meat. It's real meat patties. And it's great late-night
dining. You know, about midnight, you just finished doing whatever
you're going to do, and you go there and you have a burger and
fries. Great meal. Also, I grew up on Krispy Kreme. The one I used
to go to off of Colonial is still there, I believe. Back in the
day, we would go to church and afterward, if I was a good boy, Mom
and Dad would take me and get some Krispy Kremes."
If someone only had a day in the city, what would you tell
them to do?
"You have to go see both parks. It sounds like most of my time is
spent at Disney, but
Universal Studios actually has an incredible
theme park and they have a great nightlife. It's called Universal
Orlando City Walk. They have a lot of clubs. I'm not really a
clubber, but I like to people watch. So I'll go to Downtown Disney
or to City Walk and walk around and watch people and then get
material. Universal's theme parks are absolutely amazing. There's
the Islands of Adventure, which is basically all these different
theme lands. Like one is Marvel superheroes. And they have the most
incredible roller coasters, and these I've actually ridden. They
have the Hulk, which is amazing. It shoots you from 0 to 40 in like
one-something seconds. They have the Spiderman attraction. It's one
of the best rides ever. To close out your night, you have got to go
see La Nouba. It's a Cirque du Soleil show, and is absolutely one
of the most gorgeous pieces of art I've ever seen. Gymnasts,
dancers, swimmers, the whole nine. They've really outdone
themselves. It's incredible."
