4: PERCENT OF AMERICANS WHO'D TAKE A BURGER AND FRIES OVER SEX
When Sheraton Hotels asked Americans what they desire most in a hotel room late at night, food was high on the priority list. The survey, designed to beef up the hotel chain’s in-room dining service, found that Americans want club sandwiches over any other dish, followed by burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken Caesar salads, and the old standby Cobb salad.

In case you’re curious, 39 percent of Americans eat room service at a table, 28 percent eat in bed because their spouses won’t let them get away with that at home, 2 percent eat on the floor, and a small minority eat in the bathroom. What do they do while eating? We can only guess at the last group, but of the rest, 63 percent watch TV, 26 percent talk on the phone, 22 percent read, and 17 percent work. —
