Relish the thought of a home-cooked meal, ready and waiting when you and your spouse walk in the door? From the what-will-they-think-of-next category comes the Polara Refrigerated Range (available for $1,800 from Whirlpool this fall). Dinner goes in the Polara in refrigeration mode. Program cooking to start that afternoon. When you get home, pop a bottle of good wine, set the table, and take it out of the oven. If you’re late, the Polara doesn’t hold it against you.
