You can’t use your wireless phone while you fly, but you may be able to charge your battery. The PowerBooster battery (800-527-0080, www.snpower.com) can be recharged like any other wireless phone battery, but it also has a built-in solar panel that uses the sun to recharge. Sunpower Systems says its batteries can provide twice the talk time and three times the standby time by making use of solar power. A dead battery will recharge in four to five hours, but the sun will produce enough power for an emergency call in just 15 minutes. Batteries are available for many popular phones made by Motorola, Nokia, and Ericsson. For more great gadgets, log on to www.technogadgets.com.
