Gentle Giants

by Elaine Glusac

Like supersize garden trolls, the 80 landscape ornaments that recently took up residence at the Denver Botanic Gardens are up to 11 feet tall and 6,000 foliage-crushing pounds. The Shona Tribe of Zimbabwe lent the “Chapungu” sculptures depicting family, nature, and community. They grace the grounds through October 31. (720) 865-3700, www.chapun gudenver.org.
