Picasso: The Artist’s Studio examines works the master made in and of his atelier, often showing the artist painting in the studio that served as a hive for models, dealers, and collectors. Thirty-five paintings and 10 drawings are on view through September 23 at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut, before they travel to The Cleveland Museum of Art in October. Forty paintings, 30 sculptures and ceramics, and numerous drawings make the case for the artist’s sensual side — depicting lovers, nudes, and surreal body parts — in Picasso Érotique, at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts through September 16. (514) 285-1600, www.mbam.qc.ca
